How NFL TV coverage works

The NFL splits its games between five national partners. CBS and FOX share the Sunday afternoon windows, with CBS carrying most games involving AFC teams and FOX most games involving NFC teams. Each market sees the games assigned to it, which is why two fans in different cities can see different 1 PM games. NBC has Sunday Night Football, ESPN and ABC have Monday Night Football, and Prime Video streams Thursday Night Football. Netflix carries the Christmas games and NFL Network has a handful of exclusive games each season.

Why a channel can change

From Week 5 onward the league can move a game into or out of primetime under flexible scheduling. Sunday and Monday night games can change up to 12 days before kickoff, Thursday night games up to 28 days before. Sunday afternoon games can also swap between CBS and FOX. That is why every game on this site shows whether its broadcast is confirmed or still subject to change, and when it was last checked.
